Oklahoma Bingo

Oklahoma has long been synonymous with Bingo. This is owing to the fact that the Indian tribes of Oklahoma have operated Bingo games for decades. Guests from all of the nearby states get in vehicles and head over to Oklahoma to bet on Bingo on the weekends.

The 1988 Indian Gaming Regulatory Act became law after a landmark determination by The U.S. Supreme Court the year prior. From that instance, twenty three of the thirty nine Native bands located in Oklahoma have introduced gaming halls. The Chickasaw were the 1st Oklahoma Native tribes to take advantage of the gaming rules, and today control 10 gambling dens of their own. Bingo is the game on which these casinos were built on. digital games like slot machines were not allowed, because they are believed to lead to gambling dependency at a higher rate than bingo.

In recent years, Oklahoma law have altered to allow for enormous American Indian betting casinos. You will now see Indian casinos with slot machines, video poker and twenty-one tables. Craps and roulette are not yet approved in the Amerindian gambling dens as of yet, although that is simply a matter of time. Nobody can say with what having other games in the bingo parlors will do for the draw of bingo.
